A magnificent 117 hectare woodland mosaic of hidden valleys, varied landscapes and diverse habitats, on the southern slopes of Shotover Hill.

Punting

A trip to Oxford is not complete without a punting trip - a truly timeless, slightly eccentric, quintessentially Oxford, idyllic pleasure: drifting leisurely along the silky water of the Cherwell, picnicking on the river whilst floating past history .

Punt yourself if you dare or pre-book a chauffeured punt!

There are two main locations to rent punts in Oxford:

Magdalen Bridge Boathouse

Cherwell Boathouse

Day out In Oxford

The ancient university town of Oxford is only a 20 minute cycle from us making Cedar Hollow a great place to stay if you want to mix your country break with some culture, history and stunning architecture.

Stroll down the ancient cobbled streets, visit one of the many museums, or follow in the footsteps of CS Lewis and JRR Tolkien by having a drink at their old haunt - The Eagle and Child.

Day Shopping In Bicester Village

Discover a world of luxury shopping at Bicester Village. There are more than 130 fashion and lifestyle boutiques at the shopping outlet area, each offering discounts of up to 60%.

Bicester Village is only 20 minutes away by car.

Walking in the Footsteps of C S Lewis

The woodlands in which we are based neighbours C S Lewis's woodland garden that inspired Narnia. In Lewis's words, it is "such stuff as dreams are made of". The 8 acre garden has since been donated to the public and is now the "C S Lewis Nature Reserve". By prior arrangement, you can also arrange to visit C S Lewis's house - The Kilns.
